1. About These Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Linden Coast website at https://lindencoast.site and your participation in any programmes or workshops offered by Linden Coast, operating from 88 Lebuh Light, 10200 George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia.
By accessing our website or registering for a programme, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with registration or use of this website.
2. Nature of Our Programmes
All programmes and workshops offered by Linden Coast are educational and informational in nature. They are designed to facilitate structured household conversations around money topics, using facilitated discussion frameworks, printed materials, and peer exchange.
Our programmes do not constitute, and should not be understood as:
- Financial advice or financial planning services
- Legal advice or legal services
- Tax advice or accounting services
- Any other regulated professional service
For any specific financial, legal, or tax guidance, participants are encouraged to consult appropriately licensed practitioners.
3. Registration and Eligibility
Our programmes are designed for adults aged 18 years and above, with a primary focus on households in the 40+ age group. By registering, you confirm that you are aged 18 or older.
Registration is complete upon receipt of a confirmation from Linden Coast. We reserve the right to decline or cancel registrations at our discretion, with a full refund of any fees paid.
Places are limited. Submission of an enquiry form does not constitute a confirmed place.
4. Fees and Payment
Programme fees are listed in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of all materials described in each programme description. Fees must be settled prior to the programme commencement date unless otherwise agreed in writing with Linden Coast.
Linden Coast reserves the right to revise programme fees at any time. Changes will not affect registrations already confirmed and paid.
5. Cancellation and Rescheduling
We understand that circumstances change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- More than 14 days before the programme start: Full refund of fees paid.
- 7 to 14 days before the programme start: 50% refund of fees paid.
- Fewer than 7 days before the programme start: No refund, although you may transfer your place to another person with prior notice to Linden Coast.
If Linden Coast cancels or reschedules a programme, registered participants will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to an alternative date.
6. Conduct at Sessions
Our sessions are designed to be respectful, open, and unhurried. Participants are expected to engage courteously with facilitators and other attendees. Linden Coast reserves the right to ask any participant to leave a session if their conduct is disruptive or disrespectful, without refund of fees.
Recording of sessions by participants — whether audio, video, or screen — is not permitted without the prior written consent of Linden Coast and all other participants present.
7. Intellectual Property
All materials provided as part of Linden Coast programmes — including printed readers, conversation decks, workbooks, and closing manuals — are the intellectual property of Linden Coast. They are provided for the personal, household use of registered participants and may not be reproduced, distributed, or resold without written permission from Linden Coast.
The content on our website, including text, design, and structure, is similarly owned by or licensed to Linden Coast and may not be reproduced without permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Malaysian law, Linden Coast shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your participation in our programmes or use of our website, including any decisions you make based on discussions or materials from our sessions.
Our total liability for any claim arising from a specific programme shall not exceed the fee paid by you for that programme.
9. Website Use
You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our website or its underlying systems.
We make reasonable efforts to keep our website accurate and available, but we do not warrant that it will be error-free or uninterrupted. We may update or remove content at any time without notice.
10. Privacy
Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia. By registering for a programme or contacting us, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as described in that policy.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from these terms or your participation in Linden Coast programmes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of our website or programmes after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
